Sweet William: Michael Pennington on Interpreting Shakespeare

April 27 - 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Internationally acclaimed Shakespearean actor and scholar, Michael Pennington, talks about Shakespeare, both from his point of view and William’s.

In a fascinating one man show he brings the man and his brilliance vividly alive.

‘Dragged along to see Macbeth at the age of 11’ he says ‘Shakespeare up and hit me like a hammer.’ In the years since, through very many eminent stage performance and writings, Shakespeare has ‘lived’ with him, and he talks about the man and his works with a wonderful depth and familiarity, lucidity and humour.
